On April 23 the New Hyde Park North Little League will gather its participants, coaches and families for a parade commencing 10 a.m. at 45 Mayfair Road and ending at Merillon Field located at 2300 Marcus Avenue in North New Hyde Park.
Opening Day Ceremonies to kick off the start of the league’s 71st season will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Merillon Field.
Honored guests expected to be in attendance include: state Sen. Anna M. Kaplan (7th District), North Hempstead Town Councilman (5th District) David Adhami, Councilman (2nd District) Peter Zuckerman, Councilwoman (4th District) Veronica Lurvey, acting North Hempstead Parks Commissioner Kelly Gillen, Town Clerk Ragini Srivastava and Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman.
