Thank you to our generous patrons who made the Floral Park Library’s October Great Give Back such a success. The children of Belmont Child Care Association’s Anna House will be well-outfitted with costumes for their Halloween celebration!
Beginning November 1st, we continue our annual Food for Fines tradition. Patrons with or without fines are encouraged to donate high-demand items like cereals, peanut butter and jelly, pasta sauce to benefit Floral Park’s Our Lady of Victory food pantry.
To herald in the holiday season, the Boy Scouts of Troop 482 will be selling wreaths and poinsettias on the Library lawn Saturday, November 24 (rain date the 25th), but not before a day after Thanksgiving family event with Chefs of d’Future.
This month, the “littles” can enjoy Toddler Time; A Time for Kids Baby Start and Family Pre-School Hour; Funkytown Playground; Play Hooray; and Storycraft. There’s also Little Adventurers; Pom Queen craft; and Creatology Kidz Remote Control Car Challenge and LEGO Minecraft.

We’ve rescheduled two of our programs: Everything I Learned was Through Volunteering, and Tony Dora’s Author Talk. Learn about a nutrition prescription for optimal health with Marie Ruggles, or listen to Maria D’Andrea discuss the always interesting concept of signs from beyond.
The Evening Edition Book Club meets on the 2nd, and the daytime Book Club meets on the 6th. The featured movie this month is “Book Club: the Next Chapter.” Seems appropriate enough!
