Both the Manhasset’s Munsey Park Elementary School and Shelter Rock Elementary School hosted their first annual Kindergarten Welcome Playdate on Aug. 28. Kindergarten students and their families had the opportunity to meet other kindergarteners and make new friends at their respective schools to transition into the new school year easier.

“It was a great day as new friends were made by both adults and children,” stated a press release from the district.

Representatives from the Manhasset School Community Association (SCA), Parent Association for Special Education (PASE), Adventures in Learning and the Chinese American Association of North Hempstead (CAANH) participated as well, offering information and contacts for families new to the schools.
