The Herricks Chapter of DECA achieved excellent results at the Nassau County Virtual Regional Competition on Dec. 12, which drew more than 900 participants. A total of 76 Herricks High School students are now eligible to advance to the State Virtual Conference in March.
This year, instead of meeting face to face, students recorded their ideas and shared digital links with the judges.
Herricks High School’s DECA club meets virtually each week under the guidance of adviser Claude Commisso. The student officer team has trained and worked with new members and taught them about the many aspects of DECA.
