Floral Park-Bellerose Union Free School District highlighted leaders in the schools and community at the board of education meeting on Nov. 14.

Student representatives from the Leader Core at John Lewis Childs School and the Ambassador Club from Floral Park-Bellerose School were featured guest speakers. The students spoke about why they joined their respective clubs, their duties and what it means to them to assist their younger peers.

Then, as part of the district’s Civil Service Series, Floral Park Village Mayor Kevin M. Fitzgerald took to the podium to speak about the various departments of the village and their responsibilities. Village Board Trustee Frank Chiara was also in attendance at the meeting.

Floral Park-Bellerose School ENL teacher Aileen Dominguez was recognized for receiving tenure.
