Kaplan marches in 2022 Persian Parade

On Sunday, April 24, state Sen. Anna Kaplan, the first Iranian-American elected to the New York State Legislature, marched in the 2022 NYC Persian Parade.

She was joined by New York City Mayor Eric Adams and New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli for the annual event that celebrates the rich history of Persian culture. The parade, which is organized by the Persian Parade Foundation, is intended to introduce Iranian culture and civilization to the general public, along with its historical achievements in art, folklore, and science.
