Hillside Grade School fifth graders in Danielle Scalogna’s class recently entered a Young Writers’ “Ridiculous Writers” contest. Nine students had their work selected for publication in “Ridiculous Writers – Worlds of Wonder” and “Ridiculous Writers – Tales from the USA.”
The published students are Reda Aitmhand-Oubrahim, Annabelle Chai, Jayden Jacob, Brendon John, Anne Kochupurackal, Christopher Louizou, Isabella Madden, Nicolas Perez and Victoria Wang.
Entering the contest was optional, and students were able to write multiple submissions. The prompt was to write an original story with a limit of 100 words.
