On Feb. 10, jazz ensembles from Herricks High School participated in the 50th annual Berklee College of Music High School Jazz Festival at Hynes Convention Center in Boston.
Each year the festival hosts top ensembles from across the east coast in competition that showcases some of the best young jazz musicians in the country.
Members of the Herricks Jazz Choir placed ninth in their division and Herricks Blue Band performers placed sixth in their division. Ensemble directors James Ludwig, for Jazz Choir, and Geoffrey Taylor, for Blue Band, are proud of the hard work and professionalism of all of students involved.
