Helen Keller Services, a Long Island-based non-profit offering programs and services for the blind and deafblind communities, hosted its 32nd Annual Golf Classic at the Village Club at Lake Success recently, raising more than $111,000 to provide services to the individuals who are blind, deafBlind, have vision loss, or have combined hearing and vision loss.

“The work we do all year long is made possible by the generous support of these participants and so many others,” said Larry Kinitsky, chairman of HKS. “We are grateful for their steadfast commitment to making the world a more accessible and inclusive place for people with hearing and vision loss.”

This year’s event was dedicated to the memory of Joseph L. Mancino, a member of the HKS board of directors for many years. HKS is grateful for his outstanding leadership, friendship, generosity, great sense of humor and ever-loyal presence at HKS’ annual golf outings.
