Part of Nassau County’s $6 million project that has completely transformed Manorhaven Boulevard includes Battery Park-style lampposts with brackets for hanging flower baskets.
The Greater Port Washington Business Improvement District (BID) purchased and hung baskets with beautiful summer flowers like those hanging along Main Street.
Village of Manorhaven staff will water and maintain the flower baskets.
“Thank you to the Port Washington BID for supplying these beautiful baskets for our newly installed lampposts,” Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton said. “The addition of these flowers has really capped off this project, and has helped to make Manorhaven Boulevard the quaint downtown street that we all envisioned.”
