Students throughout Hampton Street School in the Mineola Union Free School District honored Earth Day on April 23 with a variety activities.
Throughout the entire building, students were engaged in Earth-friendly activities such as creating a compost pile, building an insect house, weeding and cleaning up the gardens, planting, creating bird sanctuaries and learning about animals with Jungle Bob.
