North High School will present Don Giovanni, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, on Friday, Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 10 at 8 p.m., in the school’s Bernard Kaplan Auditorium, 35 Polo Road. The opera will be performed in Italian with supertitles.

First performed in 1787, “Don Giovanni” is Mozart’s exhilarating retelling of the Don Juan legend, filled with some of his most famous and much-loved music. Combining comedy and tragedy, the story revolves around Don Giovanni’s amorous escapades and the consequences of his actions.

Pamela Levy, fine and performing arts department chairperson, is the music director and conductor for this production. Robert Stivanello is the stage director, Esther Noh is music supervisor, Dina Materia is set designer, Scott Eckers is lighting designer, and Michael Meehan is technical director.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students/senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased online at operanorth.ludus.com.

There will also be a dinner before the opening night performance, which will take place in the North High Commons at 6:15 p.m. Tickets for the dinner are $10 for adults, and $5 for students/senior citizens.
