North Hempstead Council Member Veronica Lurvey recently welcomed world-renowned artist Ali Dowlatshahi to North Hempstead on Jan. 23 during a visit to the Great Neck Social Center.
Dowlatshahi was born in Iran and is a graduate of the School of Fine Arts in Tehran. His works of art can be found in the Persian National Museum, the American Museum of Natural History in New York along with museums in Frankfurt, Germany. He recently published a new book called Persian Designs and Motifs.
