To celebrate Unity Day, John Lewis Childs School students created paper dolls that represent their heritage or a special quality about themselves.

Each classroom received multicultural crayons, construction paper and yarn from the PTA to decorate their paper dolls. Through the school’s Little Buddies Program, students in grades 4-6 met with the younger grades to create their Unity Day dolls together.

The paper dolls will be displayed throughout the hallways, holding hands, to represent celebrating Unity Day and the diversity at JLCS.
