Floral Park-Bellerose School kindergarteners in Kathy Schaeffer’s class were challenged to create different structures during their Discovery Lab lesson on Sept. 28.

Students were tasked with creating the longest possible chain reaction out of dominoes, designing a maze out of linking cubes, forming a parking garage with blocks for toy cars, building a fort out of mini cups to surround a stuffed animal, and constructing a bridge out of wooden planks that would hold the most weight.
