
The Hillside Library is combining with the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless in doing a Hats, Scarves and Glove Drive. There is a bin at the library in which donations could be placed. Our community has always been very generous to our Donation Drives, and we thank you for your continued generosity.

Winter Dreams on Long Island – All Purpose room
Sunday, December 4 at 1:30 p.m. Winter Dreams brings to life the magic and enchantment of the winter season as it was celebrated during the last century. The Victorian-built ice palaces were often the crowning glory of the season’s spectacular events. These transparent feats of architecture sometimes reached heights of three hundred feet. Join presenter Monica Randall as she offers an informative lecture and slideshow presentation featuring some of Long Island’s most beautiful mansions garlanded in snow.

Winter Ornament Program – Children’s Room
Tuesday, December 6: 4 – 5 p.m. and Tuesday, December 6: 5 – 6 p.m. Family Fun! Create some family holiday cheer by making 4 homemade winter ornaments you will cherish for years to come! Choose 2 ornaments to take home after the program and leave 2 ornaments at the library to help decorate the Children’s Room Winter Tree. (You will be able to take home your additional ornaments in January. **Each family will receive one ornament kit to share. (Each kit makes 4 individual ornaments.) **Families may choose only one session to attend. **All children must be accompanied by an adult.
