North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth, Councilman Peter Zuckerman and Councilwoman Anna Kaplan visited Clark Botanic Garden to both honor and thank Kyle Eberlein for his Eagle Scout Project, which established an attractive border and pathway along the garden’s upper pond.
With help from volunteers, Kyle built a rail and laid down bluestone chips to allow for a safer path around the pond, which will also prevent flooding when the pond overflows. Kyle is a member of Troop No. 200 from Williston Park.
Bosworth presented Kyle with a proclamation, naming Wednesday, Aug. 8 a day of special recognition in the town for Kyle – a day that also happened to be his birthday.
Eagle Scout is the highest achievement or rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program.
