State Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso recently attended a special liturgy held at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Port Washington to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Hellenos House, a group home for those with developmental disabilities, located in Wantagh.
People of all ages who have special needs and their families are welcome to participate in a Challenge Liturgy which is held at the church once a month. Attending the liturgy also allows them to enjoy social gatherings, fellowship, and community outreach.
“I am proud to present this citation and to thank Emanuel Katsoulis and others for being able to provide this much-needed home,” D’Urso said as he presented a New York State Citation to its founder, Emanuel “Manny” Katsoulis, in honor of the home’s staff and its residents.
