North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and Council Member Anna Kaplan attended an Earth Day Birthday celebration at John F. Kennedy Elementary School in Great Neck on April 23.
At the event, Supervisor Bosworth spoke to the children about the importance of Earth Day and Council Member Kaplan read an environmental themed poem.
To celebrate Earth Day, the Town presented the school with a gift of books and plants. The students also enjoyed a musical performance by Tom San Fillipo and together they sang “Happy Birthday” to the Earth.
