“Biography in a Bag” project for fifth-graders at John Lewis Childs School

John Lewis Childs School fifth-graders learned about famous or historical figures as part of their “Biography in a Bag” project, which they presented to fourth-grade classes and staff on Feb. 15.

After reading a biography on their chosen person, the students took notes and selected items that represented the person. The items could be directly related or more abstract and were then collected in large brown paper bags. Students dressed as their famous figures to present the contents of the bags in the school’s library.
