Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso shared his family’s story of sheltering a large Jewish family in Formia, Italy in 1944 and his recent moving meeting with some of their grateful descendants. My father, Giuseppe, didn’t do it out of ideology. He did it because he thought, basically, a human being in distress needs help,” said Assemblyman D’Urso.
