Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso presented a NYS Assembly citation to Port Washington resident Henry Duarte.
Duarte saved the life of a 6-year-old girl whom he found at the bottom of a pool in Centereach while swimming with his family.
He brought the unconscious girl to the surface and saved her life by using his skills obtained from working as a doctor’s medical assistant.
D’Urso said, “I want to recognize Mr. Duarte for his unselfish act of bravery and heroism to save the life of a little girl. I am proud that he is one of my constituents.”
