The Alzheimer’s Association Long Island Chapter invites Huntington residents to take part in an Alzheimer’s Community Forum on Wednesday, April 27 from 10:30 a.m.- 12 p.m. at the St. Anthony of Padua, 1025 Fifth Ave. East Northport, NY 11731, Parish Outreach Office located In the basement of Trinity Regional School (east end). This free event provides an opportunity for residents and professionals to come together to ask questions about the disease, share personal experiences, learn about resources and communicate ideas that can bolster services to support families in their communities.
“The goal of the forum is to encourage an interactive discussion about the changing needs of individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and the community’s response,” said Kate Anastasia, MPA, program director for the Alzheimer’s Association Long Island Chapter.
“Coming together to share ideas will help us find new areas for expanded program growth,” said Doug Davidson, executive director of the Alzheimer’s Association Long Island Chapter. “It’s important to continue the conversation in order to better serve Long Islanders who are dealing with Alzheimer’s disease.”
