On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Town of North Hempstead will hold a memorial service at 8:30 a.m. at Mary Jane Davies Green, located on Plandome Road in Manhasset across the street from Town Hall. This service is open to the public.
“The ceremony serves to provide all who endured the tragedy of September 11 an opportunity to reflect upon its impact and remember those we lost that day,” said Town Clerk Wayne Wink.
“During this memorial service, we gather as a community to honor and recognize those who lost their lives 17 years ago, including the 56 individuals from our North Hempstead family,” said Supervisor Judi Bosworth.
