Four Roslyn High School seniors—Jessica Chen, Daniel Liu, Harshita Sehgal, and William Xu—have been named finalists in the 2022 Competition for National Merit Scholarships. These academically talented students now have the opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $30 million that will be offered this spring.

“We are deeply proud of Jessica, Daniel, Harshita, and William and congratulate them for reaching such a high academic achievement,” said Superintendent Allison Brown. “Being named a finalist is an incredible accomplishment and we wish them the best as they continue in the competition.” The students are among 15,000 nationwide to be named finalists, representing less than one percent of high school seniors in the United States.
