Katie Ledecky has been a dominant force in the pool since her debut in 2012.

Her Olympic history is remarkable, with multiple gold medals from the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Games. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she continued her streak with impressive performances.

In the 2024 Paris Olympics, Ledecky further solidified her legacy by securing additional gold medals, showcasing her enduring excellence. To date, she has earned 13 medals.

Notably, her success is also tied to her family, as her uncle Jon Ledecky, co-owner of the NHL’s New York Islanders, has been a supportive figure in her illustrious career.

He was in Paris and unavailable for comment immediately following the news of Katie being the most decorated female American Olympian in history.
