The Hillside Library is partnering with the Office of state Sen. John Martins in doing a School Supply Drive for Long Island Coalition for the Homeless.

Needed items include backpacks; folders; spiral and marble notebooks; pens; lunchboxes; markers; glue sticks; binders; scissors; highlighters; calculators.  There are Collection Bins at the library for your donations and items will be collected until July 25.

Health Insurance Application Assistance – 1^st Floor Modular Room

Tuesday, July 23, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Health care insurance application assistance for Aged (65+), Blind and Disabled populations. Get help from Health and Welfare Council of Long Island (HWCLI) experts with the Medicaid application process through LDSS, Medicare Savings programs and Medicare resources.  

Call HWCLI for an appointment at 516-505-4426 or walk in with your questions. This service will be available on the following dates: July 23; August 6; September 10, 24; October 8, 22; November 5, 19 and December 3, 17.
