Friday, June 14 at 1 p.m. Join us for this great movie to celebrate Father’s Day! “Jack (Billy Crystal) is a straitlaced lawyer with a loving wife (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). Dale (Robin Williams) is suicidal about his stalled career as an artist. The only thing they have in common is Collette (Nastassja Kinski), with whom they both had an affair years ago. Unbeknownst to the two men, she had a son, Scott (Charlie Hofheimer), who is now missing. After she tells Jack and Dale that one of them could be the father, the pair set out to find Scott and prove who the real father is.”

The Switchback Railway debuted at Coney Island on June 16, 1884 and is the first roller coaster type ride designed in the U.S solely for amusement! The Wonderful World of Pollinators – All Purpose Room
Tuesday, June 18, 6 – 7:30 p.m. Journey with gardening expert, Linda Reilly, into the vast and wonderful world of Butterflies, Bees, & Other Pollinators. Who are they and what do they do that is so important, and why are populations are declining? Learn how you can help pollinators thrive! Free plant raffle!

Thursday, June 20, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Calling all gardeners, of all levels and interests! Join the Plant and Garden Club and exchange seeds, rooted cuttings, and plants with fellow gardeners of all skills and interests. Let’s discuss composting, annuals and perennials, indoor and outdoor gardens, container gardens, terrariums (make your own!), and your problems and successes! No registration necessary.
The Library Plant and Garden Club meets every 3rd Thursday, April through September.
Adult Summer Reading Kickoff Party – All Purpose Room
Saturday, June 22 at 11:30 a.m. Join us for our Summer Reading Kickoff Party! Lots of fun activities to start you Summer here at the Hillside Public Library. Everyone who comes to the Summer Reading Party and registers for Summer Reading will be entered into our Beach Basket Giveaway, and will recieve an additional entry into our Summer Reading Raffle Baskets that will be given away at the end of Summer.
