Two students from East Hills School placed in the 2024 Northwell Erase the Stigma Creative Art Contest in the Elementary School Category.
Ivan Wu won first place and Charlotte Lubin won a 3rd place award. Both students are invited to the Erase the Stigma Awards Ceremony, to be held June 1, 2024, where their work will be showcased.
“The goal of this contest is to bring attention to mental health awareness month (May) with an emphasis to fight mental health stigma,” said social worker Stephanie Leibowitz. “This year’s theme is #hopestartshere. We hope to highlight mental health as an essential part of our overall health and provide a creative space in which students can share their voice.”
