Town of North Hempstead Council Member Mariann Dalimonte recently attended the final mass for two renowned pastors from the United Methodist Church of Port Washington, Pastor David Collins and Pastor Romina Abelova, on Sunday, Feb. 18.
Collins and Abelova were integral leaders of the congregation for over six years, and the farewell mass was an emotional celebration of their time with the church.
In honor of their tireless and selfless work, Dalimonte presented Pastors Collins and Abelova with Proclamations of Recognition from the Town of North Hempstead.
Well done, thou good and faithful servants. Let readers and the writer note that Reverend Abelova’s first name is Romana, though known throughout the Port community as “Romi.”
