Afternoon on Broadway with Stephen Nachamie – Irving Berlin and Beyond: The American Spirit on Broadway

Join Award-Winning Director Stephen Nachamie as he celebrates the life and legacy of Irving Berlin. Born Israel Beilin, he was a Russian who came to America at the age of 5. In his 100-year life, he wrote songs that are now a part of our American Heritage. Mr. Nachamie will offer a multimedia lecture that will celebrate shows including This Is The Army, Annie Get Your Gun and take a look at his songs such as “God Bless America,” “White Christmas,” “Happy Holiday,” and many more that we hold near and dear. Cricut Crafts: Paper Flowers

Mezzanine Meeting Room
Join us in making some paper flowers with our Cricut Maker 3! This program is a great way to learn more about the Cricut and enjoy crafting. This is a “bring your own device” program. Please take some time to install the Cricut Design Space software before the program. Anyone 8 and up is welcome, but we ask that an adult accompany participants under 11. All supplies will be provided. Registration opens on July 1. Please note: Chromebooks are incompatible with the Cricut Design Space software, so they will not work for this program. Laptops (both Mac and PC) and iPads work well. Registration begins July 1.

Teen Chocolate Workshop: “All Together Now!”

Join chocolatier Melinda Space as she gives us a “hand” in this chocolate workshop. We will decorate cupcakes and cookies using pre-poured milk chocolate, white chocolate, and dark chocolate hand moldings to show our unity. Once completed, it is a perfect treat to share with family and friends!  Registration begins June 26.

In Nazi-occupied Austria, Dr. Josef Bartok (Oliver Masucci) is locked in solitary confinement, where he turns to a book of famous chess matches to preserve his sanity. Eldar Grigorian scripted, from Stefan Zweig’s novel, for director Philipp Stozl. Up first, “Der Tunnel” (“The Tunnel”) (2017-10 min) from writers, producers, and directors Christoph Daniel and Marc Schmidheiny. Both films are in German with English subtitles.

Teen Community Service Program: It’s For the Dogs!
Friday, July 14 @ 7:00 p.m.

Design and make dog treat containers for dogs looking for their forever home at Last Chance Animal Rescue. Teens will earn two community service credit hours upon the return of their service projects to TeenSpace. All service projects should be returned to TeenSpace by August 21. Registration begins June 26. Teens will be emailed when supplies kits are available for pick up. Please note this is a pre-recorded video for teens to view at home.
