In its grand re-opening event on Aug. 20, the Art League of Long Island celebrates its triumph over adversity and invites the public to join them.
The pandemic almost closed the Art League for good, but through the support of the community and government programs, the Art League has managed to weather the storm. The open house, which takes place from 11 am to 2 pm that day, kicks off the opening reception of the Art League’s Annual Instructor’s Exhibition.
The Art League’s Annual Instructor’s Exhibition features works by its many talented instructors in the Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery from Aug. 20 through Sept. 22.
The open house offers visitors a first-hand look at the inner-workings in the Art League’s specialized art studios through live demonstrations by the instructors. Demonstrations include painting, drawing, pottery, jewelry making, and more.
