Manor Oaks School fifth graders received a visit from Assemblyman Ed Ra on May 6. Assemblyman Ra’s visit coincided with the students’ government unit in social studies. He reviewed how the state government works and his role in representing the constituents of his district. At the conclusion of his presentation, he answered students’ questions.

“The students were well prepared for the Q&A session,” Principal Jane Ruthkowski said. “Their learning about the government was evident by their engagement and discussion.”
