A big thank you to all the Manhasset children who created beautiful posters for this year’s Our Community One Family poster contest theme.

We could not carry on this tradition without the help and involvement of all the teachers in the schools, the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce, town and park officials, the student volunteers who hang the posters up and down Plandome Road and the merchants who enthusiastically participate year after year.

We would like to send out a special thank you to Girl Scouts who helped decorate the tree and kicked- things off at the tree lighting with their beautiful voices and caroling.

Randy Knudsen and the Manhasset Secondary School Brass Ensemble, the American Legion for leading us in the Pledge of Alliance, The Rev’d Stephen Tamke, Rector, Christ Church Episcopal for the blessing, Four Five for keeping us all warm with their coffee, hot chocolate and churros, Herb and Olive for providing such delicious goodies. And thank you Antonietta Manzi for her beautiful creations for the prize winners.

But, we still need the community’s help. We need you to log on to the chamber’s Manhassetny.org website and vote for grand prize winner. Voting is open until Jan. 3. The winner will be announced Jan. 12 at the chamber installation luncheon.
