U.S. Rep. Tom Suozzi (D – Long Island, Queens) recently presented medals and citations to high school students from New York’s Third Congressional District to honor their national achievements in science.

“Our district has consistently produced the brightest young talent the nation has to offer. We need to ensure these students can utilize their talents here at home as we strive to brand Long Island as ‘the 495 Research Corridor on High-Tech Island.’ These students are the future of our community and I am excited to honor their achievements,” Suozzi said.

Honorees include national scholars and finalists in the 2020 Regeneron Science Talent Search, winners of the 2019 Congressional App Challenge, and the recipient of the 2019 Congressional Award, which recognizes initiative, service, and achievement in young people.
