
The BQLI Region of Women’s League for Conservative Judaism awarded Miriam Furman Silverman a Woman of Achievement Award on June 7 at its annual dinner at Shelter Rock Jewish Center in Roslyn.
Miriam was the honoree from Temple Beth Sholom Sisterhood, which had honored her during Sisterhood Shabbat in May.
She has served as the Sisterhood’s publicity chair for six years and as Sisterhood president from 2013 to 2015.
Professionally, Miriam is a writer for UJA-Federation of New York.
She lives in Roslyn with her husband, Dr. Stephen M. Silverman, a Great Neck physician specializing in the medication-assisted treatment of addiction.
