Tina Stellato is running for Great Neck Park Commissioner in the election on Dec. 12.
Many Great Neck residents know Tina as the pro who taught them or their children to play tennis at Parkwood.
She has worked at the Park Department for 17 years as a pro and a programmer. Now she wants to use her expertise in the parks system to make it better for all the district residents.
Tina has skill in communicating with residents that she honed as a scheduler and as a licensed realtor she has developed the art of negotiation which would be useful as a commissioner.
Tina had a full tennis scholarship at St.John’s University. She graduated in 1998 with a B.A. in Elementary Education. When she was in school she worked part time at Parkwood tennis.
As a commissioner Tina wants to initiate live streaming of board meetings to get more of the community informed about the district.
She wants to develop programs for children with special needs, create more educational programs, introduce new sports to the curriculum and revitalize the parks on the southern end of the district.
Tina and her husband have two young children who attend the Baker school. She is on the executive board of the school and recently co-chaired the Kindergarten Social.
The Great Neck Park District needs someone with Tina’s background, ideas, expertise and energy, so on Dec. 12 vote for Tina Stellato for commissioner of The Great Neck Park District.
