The Always a Better Choice Committee at Elmont Memorial High School recognized students that performed good deeds in September.
The following students demonstrated a positive attitude and were recommended for this award. The September Model Citizens are:
- Joshua Job, who demonstrated a positive attitude towards his studies and is working hard to master the Regents.
- Cajah Leach, who informed the administration about a student having a hard time and was in need of support.
- Rechyl Mickens, who took notes for an absent student and gave them to the teacher without being asked.
- Robson Point Du Jour, who found a blank check and returned it to the main office.
- Brandon Wright, who returned money to his teacher and tried to help find the rightful owner.
- Diego Zuniga, who returned $20 to a teacher.
