A Flushing woman was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday evening after attempting to cross Northern Boulevard near the Americana Manhasset with her 15-year-old daughter, Nassau County police said.
At around 7:10 p.m., police said, Jin Lin, 48, and her daughter tried to cross Northern Boulevard, just west of Copley Road.
Lin and her daughter were hit by a 76-year-old man driving a 2005 Hyundai Elantra while he was traveling westbound, police said.
Police said Lin was transported to Northwell Hospital in Manhasset and was pronounced dead at 7:42 p.m.
Her daughter, police said, was taken to a hospital for “non-fatal” injury treatment.
The driver has not been charged and no criminality is suspected, police said.
