Samantha Stewart, Relationship Manager, Webster Bank

Samantha Stewart joined Webster Bank in 2023 as a relationship manager and director in investment commercial real estate.

Prior to her current position, Samantha worked at Signature Bank for eight years, where she began her career as a loan administration assistant and eventually worked her way up to senior lending officer.

In this position, she originated and managed a diverse $1.2 billion portfolio comprised of multi-family, mixed-use, office, retail and industrial properties throughout New York.

While working at Signature, Samantha recognized the value of relationship banking and its significant role in the success of the CRE team.

At Webster, Samantha is an integral part of the newly established Regional Banking Team, which focuses on clients with lending needs ranging from $2 million to $10 million and revenue between $10 million to $50 million.

Her expertise lies in multi-family, mixed-use, retail, medical office, and industrial properties in the New York Metro area.

As someone who values the relationship banking mindset, Samantha appreciates the emphasis placed on personalized service, attention to detail, and most importantly, the trust between the client and the bank. She particularly enjoys networking as it provides opportunities to meet like-minded individuals and drive business forward.

Samantha’s success can be attributed to the work ethic her parents instilled in her from a very young age and to good fortune of having worked and continuing to work with some of the best professionals in the commercial real estate industry.

In addition, she acknowledges that there are challenges to working in a male-dominated industry, however she is grateful for the female role models, colleagues, team leads and mentors who have paved the way for her to be successful.

Samantha resides on long Island with her husband and two young daughters.

They are involved in organizations that provide resources to veterans, as her husband served two tours in Iraq with the United States Marine Corps as well as various charities that serve her community.
